Repair and Maintenance

horses-skyscraperIn addition to supplying horseboxes and trailers, Prime Horseboxes Ltd also help owners with maintenance, servicing and general support for private owners, studs and equestrian sports.

Here are the ways in which we are helping our customers:

A cost effective alternative to buying a new horse box is to refurb an old one (although it’s always worth seeing what’s available from us first). Reburbishment is also a good alternative if your needs have changed in terms of the accommodation required for horse, pony or people. Your refurbishment could take the form of a respray, chassis change, new living configuration or horse area. Come and have a chat with us to discuss your needs.

If you’ve been unfortunate enough to have suffered an accident we can help. Our skilled team of mechanics are on hand to deal with anything from a minor scuff through to major damage. We repair all horseboxes from 3.5 tonne, two horse tri-axle through to 26 tonne, 12 horse horse boxes. In addition we carry out all paint repairs and restoration of artwork.

Has your horsebox got just a little bit grubby? If turning up at a show ground or event turns heads for the wrong reasons why not treat yourself to a full or partial valet. Our professional valet team will transform your horsebox back to its shiny self using professional products and a good amount of elbow grease.

We offer a full made-to-measure upholstery service. This includes new items as well as repairs and upgrades. Call us for a very competitive quote.

All aspects of mechanical maintenance are covered, we do a full pre-MOT / Plating check before the test and we always let the customer know what we have discovered before doing the work then we can chat about the different options available. We also carry out safety inspections for commercial users who require regular checks.

Prime Horseboxes offer full laser alignment for all vehicle wheels. Typical proven savings of 3-5% fuel costs and 10-20% of tyre wear, the pictures show a horsebox, here at the yard, with the alignment equipment fitted.
